Singles Box League
At Denmead Tennis Club, we organise a singles box league to offer our members competitive (but friendly!) singles matches. The singles box league is free for all Denmead Tennis Club members and we'll work with you to put you in a group most suited to your level.
How to sign up
To get involved, email James Craven (james_craven14@msn.com) who coordinates the singles box league and he will be able to let you know the start date of the next round. James will then share with you a link to access the box league table where players input their results.

Box League Rules
- Once the deadline has passed we will sort all players into groups based on your previous seasons results, with new players put into suitable groups. We aim to have a group for you no matter your playing standard.
- We aim to have at least 2-3 groups with a minimum of 4 in each group. The groups will be updated on this document and sent out through Whatsapp.
- Once in a group you will then play each other person in that group once. 2 points will be given for a win and sets and games percentages will be tracked to settle ties at the end of a league. If a match is not played without a valid reason then both players will be deducted a point - this is just to encourage all matches to be played during a league.
- To help arrange matches we will put everyone onto a group whatsapp chat, however all contact details of your opponents will be available here on the sign up tab.
- At the end of the league there will be promotion and relegation. This will be either 1 or 2 people depending on league numbers.
- Match format must be agreed upon by both players. This could either be; Best of 3 short sets, best of 3 normal sets or best of 3 normal sets with a match tie break replacing the 3rd set.
- There is a tab for each separate group - once you have played a match please enter your result in your group tab in the corresponding fixture below the box. Here you will be able to see everyone's results and how the table is looking.
