Head Coach Receives Award Posted December 2017 We are pleased to announce that our Head Coach, Alan Redman, has been presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Hampshire & IOW Lawn Tennis Association at their AGM held on 7th December.
Among the reasons cited were the increase in participation figures in all age groups, encouraging young people to pursue their own coaching qualifications, team successes and outreach programmes that engage local schools as well as his work on the committee.
Alan has been with Denmead since 2002 but before that had a long association with tennis at his previous club, Buckland, which was based in Cosham. He served at the club as player, coach, team captain and chairman. He also served on the Portsmouth and District LTA committee with stints as League Secretary and Chairman.
Alan would like to thank all those who have supported him and Denmead over the years.
